What does a website for a trade business cost?
Histy costs €29 net a month — as a German small business we currently charge no VAT. No setup fee, cancel monthly. The first 14 days are free, no card. Without your own domain the site runs at an address like your-business.histy.net. You buy your own domain from a provider of your choice.
How do I create a website for my trade business?
With Histy like this: create an account and pick your trade. Write a few sentences about your business; Histy turns them into copy, structure and suggestions for your services. You enter prices, service area and when you can be reached, check everything and go live.
I have no fixed prices — does that work?
Yes. Every service can be “on request”, have a from-price or a range, or a price per unit, such as per hour or per m². Below the list you write how you charge. Histy does not suggest prices.
Can I give my service area?
Yes, in a field of its own: the places you work in and, if you like, the radius in kilometres. If you have no shop front, the page can show only your town instead of the street. The legal notice still shows the full address.
Can I show an emergency service?
Yes. Number, times and a sentence on surcharges then appear below your hours. The form says to call directly in an emergency.
Can I show photos of my work?
Yes, as references with title, place and, if you like, a before photo. A photo only appears once you confirm that your customer and everyone in the photo agree.
What belongs in a trade business's legal notice?
If your trade needs an entry with the chamber of crafts, Histy recommends your chamber and the Handwerksordnung as the rule, and your master title if you hold it yourself. Caretaker and garden services do not need this. You enter and check the details yourself.
What happens after the 14 days?
Your site takes a break: it is no longer shown publicly until you book a plan. Nothing is charged, because the trial asks for no payment details. Your content stays. If you book no plan, we may delete the account six months after the trial; we tell you by email beforehand.
